• Manage cloud infrastructure and services through the use and promotion of Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Responsible or building API’s using Python & Fast API
• Collaborate with development teams on implementing deployment and packaging automation for their apps using Fargate (AWS ECS, EKS), Docker, Cold containers, or other appropriate technologies.
• Design, build and manage ELK /Open search clusters for centralized logging and search functionalities.
• Build out and maintain Kubernetes Infrastructure and CI/CD for developers.
• Advocate and implement the use of reliable design patterns across the software organization
• Improve the monitoring and observability of services and their health
• Enable self-service deploys and service requests to continually reduce deployment toil
• Manage changes according to change management policies and processes and adhere to established change management and change control systems.
• Provide support to CICD method and help with standardizing and automating workflows and tasks.
• Participate in strategic projects to improve Aligns approach to cloud-based infrastructure and application deployment.
• Develop solutions to automate repetitive tasks, monitor system health, create, and update real-time inventories and reports, and improve existing processes.
• Responsible for working with business owners to propose high-quality user experience solutions for desktop and mobile web applications.
• Responsible for working with the configuration management and administration teams to provide accurate build and deployment instructions.
• Responsible for working with tertiary groups such as Security, Architecture, IT Operations, and QA to ensure quality design, delivery, and adherence to corporate standards.
• Ensure application development principles, standards, and best practices are followed for each project.
• Provide support to audit processes and quality management system as required.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent years of experience
• Masters will be preferred.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of Software or System Engineering experience.
• 4+ Experience with Cloud Computing with AWS & GCP.
• 4+ Experience with Docker, Kubernetes.
• 4 years of overall web development experience, preferably secure, scalable web applications in Java, Node or Python
• Strong Experience working as DevOps engineer with focus on automation.
• Strong Experience with Infrastructure as Code using tool like CloudFormation or Terraform
• Strong Experience with CICD tool/pipeline (Bamboo, Jenkins), Configuration management (Chef, Ansible) and version control (Git).
• Experience with Build and Release process.
• Experience with Monitoring and Alerting tools like Open Search, Splunk, New Relic.
• Expertise with cloud security, understand the principle of least privilege.
• Ability to document complex architectural concepts and solutions in both business and technical terms.
• Proven strong skills in critical thinking and analysis, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions.
• Proven track record of working in an agile methodology and knowledgeable with SCRUM framework.

Required Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of System engineering concepts like load balancing, capacity planning, firewalls, SSL etc.
• 3+ years of experience with Terraform or Chef.
• 3+ years of experience with container orchestration services including Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience with Atlassian toolsets a plus.
• AWS Solution Architect (Associate or Pro) certification is preferred.
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator certification is preferred.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer is a plus.
